Music has always played an important role in the expression and cultural development of societies, and helps to express feelings and ideas that only with words would lose meaning. However, knowing great musicians such as Mozart or Beethoven, do we really know what their music expressed? This was the approach of the talk given by New Acropolis Nicaragua with the title ‘Musical Appreciation’. The goal was to learn that music not only consists of instruments that sound in harmony, but they also express circumstances, which may go unnoticed. Participants received some tips to differentiate between classical, baroque, romantic music, and also, to know and understand the historical context of the authors.
