Se extrajeron ra\u00edces del antiguo \u00e1rbol para poder obtener clones del mismo. Dos de los fragmentos de ra\u00edz se plantaron en una jardinera especialmente preparada en el atrio de la Iglesia de El Calvario en La Antigua Guatemala,\u00a0 y otros dos en macetas al cuidado de nuestros voluntarios y el Doctor Miguel Torres, quien tambi\u00e9n es acad\u00e9mico numerario de la Academia de Geograf\u00eda e Historia de Guatemala.<\/p>\n<div>Para dar fe de la autenticidad de la reproducci\u00f3n, se levant\u00f3 acta eclesi\u00e1stica suscrita por varios testigos de honor especialmente invitados para el acto, entre ellos varios miembros de Nueva Acr\u00f3polis; Monse\u00f1or Ramiro Pellecer, Obispo Em\u00e9rito de Sacatep\u00e9quez; las religiosas ortodoxas la Igumeni o Abadesa In\u00e9s Ayau y Madre Ivonne Sommerkamp, quien en su condici\u00f3n de Mic\u00f3loga estableci\u00f3 el diagn\u00f3stico de la infecci\u00f3n f\u00fangica que afecta el \u00e1rbol original, lo que motiv\u00f3 su clonaci\u00f3n; Fray Pedro de la Iglesia de San Francisco el Grande; Fray Jos\u00e9 Contr\u00e1n de las Obras Sociales del santo Hermano Pedro; el cronista de La Antigua Guatemala, la directora nacional de la Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural Nueva Acr\u00f3polis Guatemala, Licda.
