El acto se desarroll\u00f3 en el <span class=\"x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x1lliihq x1s928wv xhkezso x1gmr53x x1cpjm7i x1fgarty x1943h6x xudqn12 x3x7a5m x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u\" dir=\"auto\">Complejo del Palacio <em>Marqu\u00eas de Pombal<\/em>, en Oeiras.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>En ella se trat\u00f3 sobre la vida y pensamiento del emperador-fil\u00f3sofo Juliano, considerado por algunos el <em>Hijo del Sol<\/em> (Helios).<\/p>\n<p>La decadencia de Occidente comenz\u00f3 con la ca\u00edda del Imperio Romano en tiempos de Constantino, quien al mandar cerrar los viejos Templos Inici\u00e1ticos, las Universidades griegas y helen\u00edsticas, los centros de Oratoria, \u2026 rompi\u00f3 la columna vertebral de la cultura que un\u00eda a tantos millones de personas en tres continentes.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s tarde, el emperador-fil\u00f3sofo Juliano, aunque hab\u00eda recibido educaci\u00f3n cristiana desde su ni\u00f1ez, por orden de su t\u00edo Constantino, ya en uso de raz\u00f3n y pasada la adolescencia, se inclin\u00f3 hacia los viejos tratados de Plat\u00f3n, Arist\u00f3teles y los maestros estoicos y neoplat\u00f3nicos. Trat\u00f3 de rehacer el Imperio mandando reparar los Centros Inici\u00e1ticos de Eleusis y Delfos, y las Bibliotecas de P\u00e9rgamo y Alejandr\u00eda, que hab\u00edan sido destruidas e incendiadas durante el reinado de Constantino.<\/p>\n<p>Se dice que, en su \u00faltima noche, tuvo una visi\u00f3n: Vio el \u00c1guila Imperial de Roma, s\u00edmbolo de Zeus-J\u00fapiter, que volaba hacia Oriente y se refugiaba por casi dos milenios en las monta\u00f1as m\u00e1s altas del mundo, luego volv\u00eda a Occidente y el Imperio la aclamaba. Consultado el augur, \u00e9ste le dijo que el Imperio morir\u00eda con \u00e9l, pero que la sabidur\u00eda que ahora escapaba de Occidente, volver\u00eda para rehacerlo, luego de haber permanecido escondida muchos a\u00f1os en el T\u00edbet.<\/p>\n<p>La primera parte de la profec\u00eda se cumpli\u00f3. Muerto Juliano, el Imperio, que hab\u00eda durado ocho siglos, se dividi\u00f3 en dos: el Imperio Romano de Occidente, con base en Roma, y el Imperio Romano de Oriente, con capital en Bizancio.<\/p>\n<p>Podemos acercarnos a la grandeza de este fil\u00f3sofo con la lectura de su siguiente frase:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl hombre es inteligencia, es sabidur\u00eda, es, en una palabra, el dios que est\u00e1 en nosotros, y que en nosotros constituye la clase de alma m\u00e1s perfecta, aquella que Dios dio a cada uno como un genio, que decimos residir en la parte superior de nuestro cuerpo y que nos eleva de esta tierra hacia nuestro parentesco celeste\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a
