Cultural Activities

At the Amenábar branch of New Acropolis, an inspiring session of our Reading Club took place. On this occasion, participants gathered to reflect on Cicero’s teachings on friendship. The phrase ‘I do not know whether, with the exception of wisdom, the gods have bestowed on mankind anything better than friendship’. This was the focus of the talk, which explored the importance of deep and genuine bonds.

During the meeting, it was highlighted how friendship, according to Cicero, is one of the greatest gifts we can cultivate, second only to wisdom. Attendees shared ideas on the relevance of maintaining meaningful relationships in today’s world. It was an enriching day that underlined the relevance of classical philosophical teachings. Thank you all for your participation, and we look forward to seeing you in future activities!
