The Book Club that promotes and organizes the Seneca Library, presented the book entitled: “The Trail of the Dragon. Nature and Symbol in Alchemy, Mythology and Christianity” by its author Saulo Ruíz.
The Trail of the Dragon is a remarkable text about mysteries that have lain hidden for centuries, forgotten in their own obscurity due to the loss of the esoteric meaning behind them. Now a path to their understanding opens up before us, clarifying a very significant era in the history of thought, dispelling the mists of the origin and future of the cosmos, transforming our conception of the world and furthering the sublimation of the individual.
The Publishing House of New Acropolis Slovenia published a new book titled ‘An option of life’, comprising a selection of articles on psychology and philosophy by Jelena Sikirić, psychologist and director of New Acropolis Russia.
The presentation of the book took place at ‘Literature House’ in Maribor, and included some words on the author and selected readings of her work.
During the presentation held at the Creta Hestia Auditorium, Savvas Pattakos, author of the book The Secret Doctrine of Plato discussed the important phases of the life of the philosopher and the characteristic aspects of his work, life with Socrates and his work on the concept of the “Ideal State”.
New Acropolis Jacareí, São Paulo, carried out the presentation of the book Jacareí, its history by Prof. Benedicto Sergio Lencioni.
Enthusiastic researcher and passionate about the history of his land and its people, Prof. Lencioni already published eight books on various stages and topics related to the history of Jacareí and the Valley of the Paraíba.
A community man, he was mayor of Jacareí on two occasions; he is professor, lawyer, historian, writer of prose and verse. This award-winning writer is also an honorable Member of the Academia Jacarehyense de Letras, where he served on two occasions as president of this traditional Academy.
Also present was another member of the Academy of Letters, the journalist Benedito Veloso, who covered the event in the column that he writes in one of the most prestigious newspapers in the city.
This event had the support and dissemination of municipal cultural entities and the press in Jacareí.
New Acropolis Hungary presented its latest publication ‘Woman, Daughter of Goddesses’ by the philosopher Laura Winckler. The book provides keys to understanding a woman’s nature through the figures of four Greco-Roman goddesses. More than one hundred color pictures including reproductions of sculptures and portraits, and landscape paintings, are included in the volume to help the reader familiarize himself with the archetypes of Aphrodite, Athena, Demeter and Hera. The foreword to the book was written by Ildikó Boldizsár, an internationally noted pioneer of fairy tale research and therapy, who appeared as a special guest at the book launch held in the Budapest Center of New Acropolis.
The presentation of the book ‘The Secret Ideal of the Templars’, by Professor Delia Steinberg Guzmán, International Director of New Acropolis was held at the Lisbon Center.
In this framework, the writer Jose Carlos Fernández addressed the topic ‘Templar Symbols’, according to one of the chapters of this book, and explained how this work was conceived and the elements that make it unique, amidst the abundant literature on this theme, very dear to the Portuguese people. And also the Spanish people since both lands, as much of today’s Europe, were blessed by the deeds and works of these knightly monks thirsty for a mysticism and an ideal of harmony, of great renewing power.
Taking advantage of this event was inaugurated, for the first time in Lisbon, the Circle of Friends of New Acropolis in this city.
