“No more violence”. This phrase played an important role on this day dedicated to promoting non-violence which included theater, artistic workshops, music and yoga among other activities. New Acropolis works with children and adults on this initiative and also collaborates with other entities such as: PANI, Municipality of Tejar del Guarco and security forces. The entire community showed its support for this project.

A small school in the area of Turrialba, despite only having 31 students, has been the first to receive the ‘blue flag’ for their hard work in the environmental domain.
New Acropolis volunteers carried out an art therapy workshop at this San Miguel school, focusing on fostering the appreciation of natural resources, recycling and imagination as tool in the formation of these enthusiastic children.

On the central avenue of San Jose Costa Rica, New Acropolis volunteers mounted a giant mandala on a white blanket and featured music and interactive theater.
The people who at that time were walking down the avenue and wanted to participate, threw a color against the fabric and this was the result!

New Acropolis Heredia, carried out an ‘evening of poetry’, which counted with the participation of various poets, both local and national, and an ‘open mic’ for anyone wanting to participate and share some verses.

New Acropolis volunteers organized the collection, storage and delivery of supplies and donations to families affected by the passage of Hurricane Otto. This project was carried out in 5 provinces of the country and were delivered directly to the people affected by this natural disaster.

New Acropolis Liberia joins the project of planting 24,000 trees of native species of Guanacaste, a national park with dry tropical forest. The ‘inventory’ consisted of labeling the trees and of registering them by species, height and coordinates.

As part of the program ‘Darte-Arte’- art for all without exclusion, led by New Acropolis Costa Rica, volunteers organized a visit to the community of “La Carpio” to create a large mural in the form of ‘mandalas’.
