With Giordano Bruno to the stars (Graz and Klagenfurt, Austria)
A group of members from our branchs in Graz and Klagenfurt took the Giordano Bruno trail to the Klagenfurt observatory on the highest point in the city and experienced a magnificent view of the night sky. The astronomical society’s expert presented scientific findings on our solar system and insights into distant starry worlds.
The Renaissance philosopher and “uomo universale” Giordano Bruno had taught in a visionary way without technical devices: “I maintain that the universe is infinite, that an infinite number of world bodies exist: stars, earths, suns.” Far beyond the measurable, we were moved by the mystery of the universe and a philosophical essence of Bruno: “Knowledge, wisdom, truth, unity, love are one and the same.”
