Recently, we have brought special light our neighbourhood (Talpiot) streets as we initiated, collaborating with other nearby residents, a coming together for a community clean-up event. This initiative aimed to bring light, beauty, joy, and connections. we focused on cleaning the trail between Rabbi Ohana Street (near the New Acropolis center) and Ekron Street (Goldmund Books). Participants enjoyed music, creative activities, and a second-hand market. Volunteers received discount vouchers to local businesses as a special treat. The “Doing Talpiot” initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage community involvement in improving our neighbourhood. We believe that the power to create change starts with us, the residents, by taking responsibility to transform our environment. Local businesses supported the project by offering discounts to volunteers. This event was a collaborative effort with the municipality, members of the Haifa branch, and neighbourhood businesses, all committed to community responsibility. The trail, once avoided due to litter and safety concerns, was revitalised by volunteer efforts. Through collective action, we improved the local space and strengthened community bonds. We invite everyone to participate in future initiatives to continue making a positive impact and support the businesses that have shown us solidarity and support.
