True to its cultural, philosophical and voluntary mission, New Acropolis Montreal presented an encounter between cultures on the occasion of the World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

Representatives from several nations exchanged views around major universal questions of identity. Beyond appearances and stereotypes, guests spoke about the identity of the human being. Who are we, profoundly? What defines culture and keeps it alive? How to transmit culture, with its specificities, while maintaining openness to the Other, to what is different?

The challenge of cultural diversity will be increasingly present in our societies. It is necessary to begin a genuine heart to heart dialogue.
