New Acropolis Brazil, in its Governador Valadares center, and in collaboration with the City Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation, offered a chess workshop for beginners in the Nelson Mandela Cultural Center with children, young people and adults to enable them to learn the basic rules of this ancient game.

For two hours, participants learned and practiced the Caíssa game, as chess is also known. Whatever knowledge base one already has, it is fascinating to see how chess promotes concentration and strategic thought.
