New Acropolis volunteers carry out a national campaign on health attention and education (Peru)
On Sunday June 22nd New Acropolis Peru volunteers started a major national campaign on attention to health and health education. It included provision of free medical services in various areas of scarce resources in this country. In Lima, the campaign was held at the Cerro San Cristobal in Rimac district. On this occasion, doctor-volunteers offered around 1500 check-ups in different areas of their specialisation such as general medicine, paediatrics, ophthalmology, dentistry, psychology, reproductive health, and others. There were also talks on nutrition, oral health and road safety. Thanks to individual and business donations, medicines, cleaning supplies, clothing and toys for little ones were distributed. This campaign will continue throughout July and August in different cities of Peru where New Acropolis is present, and is aimed to help around 11 000 Peruvians.
