In the month of September, 17 volunteers from the active Ecology team along with students of the course WOW- World Of Wisdom and their teachers, helped with the restoration of the community school (“Balwadi”) located in the slums of Cuff Parade in Mumbai. This school for kids in preschool age is managed by the Non-profit Organization Door Step School that provides education to children of low-income families like the residents of the suburbs.

The volunteers painted blackboards, metallic beams, doors and grilles.

Some volunteers painted animated motives in one of the walls with the intention of creating a more colorful study environment for the kids. It was a unique opportunity for each volunteer to experience what it means to work selflessly for others and as a team.
