New Acropolis Boston volunteers along with the participation of community members and the sponsorship of a neighborhood store owner, made Mother’s Day cards and crafts and delivered these creative gifts along with toiletries, sweets and other items to ‘Rosie’s Place’, founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States, whose mission is to ‘provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity’.
