Lecture: Plato and Romance (Jerusalem, Israel)
In the midst of the bustle of moving our Jerusalem branch, we managed to hold a very interesting lecture given by Tamar Ben-Shoshan – a teacher from the Tel Aviv branch. The focus of the lecture revolved around the idea of the connection between philosophy and love. Tamar spoke of the fact that marriage is an opportunity given to a person to work with himself on spiritual development and self-knowledge. Relationships usually invite quite a few dilemmas and difficulties and the latter are a good ground for personal development that will allow for a better and healthier relationship. The most interesting conclusion that Tamar raised towards the end of the lecture was that the better the relationship with oneself, the more the relationship with a partner will be healthy, nurturing and loving.
