The lecture introduced Frankl’s fundamental notions about the meaning of life and how a person can discover it by taking responsibility for his or her own life.

Frankl stated that the human being is not free, either in his biological or psychological or sociological condition in nature… but by the power of his free will he is able to rise above social conditioning and fulfill the meaning of his life.
