Large audience present at the lecture “Magical World of Nordic Sagas”, held at New Acropolis in Varaždin, and in Ludbreg, confirmed a great interest for mythology and symbolism.
The lecture introduced mythical and religious worldview of the peoples of Northern Europe, ancient Nordic peoples, preserved in numerous stories, or sagas. This mythical worldview, characterized by constant struggle between good and evil, forces of order and chaos, conveys a valuable message of the sagas that is applicable even today: To fulfil the meaning of our own existence, and our own destiny, is an act of heroism.
