New Acropolis gives recognition for the dissemination and revaluation of traditional Andean music (Peru)
The New Acropolis Music Competition, with a special recognition, highlighted the invaluable pedagogical work that the Fermín Tangüis College has been undertaking by promoting the teaching of traditional Andean music in school classrooms.
With sustained research efforts, Professors Jader Tineo and Idelindo Mamani have brought the ancient ceremonial dances of the Inca period, which constitute a valuable heritage of Peruvian culture, to their students and to the community as a whole.
We congratulate these teachers, the participating students and the director Dr. Ervis Carlos Bonifacio, for this great work of revaluation of national identity.
