Practical workshop: ‘Fight for Harmony!’ (Budapest, Hungary)
Lecture entitled ‘Fight for Harmony’ on the relationship between martial arts and philosophy. The lecturer, himself an active practitioner of Taijutsu, spoke about the birth of Shaolin Kung Fu; the first work-out plan was compiled by Bodhidharma, the legendary Buddhist monk of Indian origin, in order to improve the concentration and endurance of his disciples so that they could perform meditation practices better.
After the talk various practices were performed in which participants could themselves experience how a short prior concentration exercise improves the efficiency of a simple martial arts technique.
