Art Week 2020 online with more than 50.000 viewers (Brazil)
Due to the restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year we held the Art Week event live broadcasted through our YouTube channel and on our national Facebook page. In 7 days, with 7 different activities, more than 50 thousand viewers followed us live on our channels.
The Art Week is promoted every year to talk with the public about the importance of art, in all its expressions, as a tool for transforming human beings and society. In this edition, we talked about painting, architecture, poetry, theater and music. From the master of painting Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, through sacred architecture, to the mystical poet Rumi, the Shakespeare theater and the music of Beethoven.
In addition to these 5 themes, we had the special participation of the world-renowned writer Steven Pressfield, for an interview with profesor Lúcia Helena Galvão on the transcendent value that art and beauty possesses. And also a very special chat with the national president of New Acropolis Brazil, profesor Luis Carlos Marques Fonseca, on “Philosophy, the Art of Living”, which showed how philosophy can go beyond intellectual speculation and become a path to the art of living, leading us to the best of ourselves.
