Through a virtual platform, Professor Jordania Santos presented the talk “The Power of Myths”, a reflection on the original meaning of myth, and an encouragement to seek with intelligence, beyond the literal interpretation of the story, its symbolic narrative language. Could myth refer to the evolutionary path of human beings? Myths such as the hero’s journey, who faces sagas, monsters and adventures that are found within each of us, represent a call to individual inner struggle.  The inner battle of Arjuna, the warrior prince, is expressed in the sacred texts of the Bhagavad Gita.
The legend of King Arthur, who, after raising the excalibur sword in his hands, would be chosen to rule wisely. Can myths be experienced?
