Volunteering day: Preparing lunches for the homeless (Cartago, Costa Rica)
In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, a group of young volunteers from the Cartago Center took the initiative to bring lunches to people in need.
The activity began in the early morning with the preparation of the food – following rigorous hygiene protocols – followed by meals delivery in the Municipal Market neighborhood. Volunteers had a warm welcome from the grateful beneficiaries.
One of the objectives of the activity is to help, with small actions, achieve the “Zero Hunger” Target in accordance with the agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals. In times of adversity, union and mutual help are the only way forward.
