This year, New Acropolis decided to join the World Cleanup Day initiative by engaging volunteers in 4 different teams at 4 different locations in London. This experience brought our attention to a current problem which derives from a lack of civic consciousness and a society driven by consumerism. At the same time, it was a great opportunity to put some of our philosophical ideas into practice and to contribute to society in a tangible way. There was great enthusiasm and a collective spirit about connecting with nature, inspiring other local residents and using the exercise as an invitation to “inner cleaning”.
