Online Talk: “Stoicism: Life as a Teacher” (Balvanera, Argentina)
“Fates [Destiny] lead those who want; they drag those who do not want” (Cleanthes).
Continuing with the series of short talks entitled “Philosophy for Everyday Life”, the Balvanera branch offered the talk “Stoicism: Life as a Teacher” by speaker Alejandro Luna.
Stoicism is a school of moral philosophy focused on the practice and development of virtues. Stoic teachings are still valid today because, through their doctrine, they try to answer human concerns: what is the best way to live and how can we achieve happiness.
We thank the public that, every week, accompanies us to address simple but very useful philosophical teachings that we can apply in our daily lives.
