Project aimed at providing beds to families affected by hurricanes (San Pedro Sula, Honduras)
Following the impact of two hurricanes (Eta and Iota) that left more than one million people affected in Honduras at the end of 2020, New Acropolis Honduras started a project to donate beds to families who are currently not in a position to recover everything they lost in the disasters.
The initiative includes the provision of beds and mattresses. This is being done in collaboration with Amor y Vida Foundation, an institution dedicated to the protection of children with HIV/AIDS in the country, and which as a self-financing project is dedicated to making wooden furniture from recycled materials.
To date, 120 beds have been delivered, and it is expected to reach two hundred very soon, between those made by the volunteers of New Acropolis San Pedro Sula and those commissioned by Amor y Vida Foundation. Likewise, it is emphasized and appreciated that the funds with which the project is carried out are donations from volunteers from various branches of New Acropolis around the world.
