Collecting clothes for the homeless (Budapest, Hungary)
Members of New Acropolis in Budapest and other cities spent a month collecting men’s, women’s and children’s clothes and shoes, as well as toys for families in need. This was the second time this year that volunteers organised an action for the “New Beginnings House” Women’s Shelter for the Homeless.
The institution offers a daytime shelter, a soup kitchen, temporary accommodation for women, rehabilitation assistance and a night shelter for marginalised people. Nearly 30 bags of clothes and shoes will go to people in social need and the toys will be donated to needy families.
