“Know Yourself” at Arashiyama’s Bamboo Forrest (Kyoto, Japan)
New Acropolis students along with their families and friends participated in a very special conference in Arashiyama, the famous Bamboo Forest.
They started the day with a walk through the bamboo forest, then went up to a beautiful observatory to take pictures, and then the special lecture began. The theme was “knowing oneself”, which is something we have to learn to do and constantly work on. It led us to deep reflections and some homework to continue advancing on this path of self-knowledge.
After that, we took the tourist train from Sagano and went to see the autumn scenery around the river. It was such a beautiful and profound experience! Perfect to celebrate International Philosophy Day, which made us all look forward to next year.
