How can we help our planet? There is a wonderful motto: “Think globally, act locally”.
In order to learn how to think globally, we decided to play an game called “Keepers of the Earth”, created by the Saving Resources Center (Moscow).
The game helps to look at the planet as a whole, to see the interdependence of different areas of human life and to trace the causal relationship of our actions.
Thanks to the game, we learned how to work together, using each of our “superpowers” for the common good. Surprisingly, it turned out that the simplest and everyday actions, which can be done consciously and with a good can help to save the planet. During the game we got acquainted with ecological habits and learned how they affect our environment.
In order to help nature not only during the game, but also in reality in our philosophical school there was organized separate waste collection. Every month there are held special events where citizens can bring their recyclable garbage. Also on the territory of the “New Acropolis” there is a collection point for recyclable “caps of goodness”.
This time we collected 3 five-liter bottles with batteries, 2 bags of waste paper, 1 bag of glass and some aluminum and tin. All these items were transported for recycling.
Thanks to all volunteers and participants, and we can follow the words of the ancient text which say: “Help nature and work together with it”.
