Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Course (Guatemala, Guatemala)

Social Volunteering

The cooperation between: FUNDAPIRÁMIDE/New Acropolis Guatemala, the City Council of Palencia, Guatemala and the GEA Volunteer Association of Spain, made it possible to teach the ASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) course in the municipal facilities. This collaboration also led to the training and implementation of a water purification plant for emergencies, donated by GEA Spain, with the support of the Juan Perón Pikolinos Foundation of Spain.

The three-day course was attended by volunteers from GEA Spain, volunteers from FUNDAPIRÁMIDE/NEW ACROPOLIS GUATEMALA, Palencia municipal firefighters, community representatives and municipal technicians.

This course and donations directly support the health of the community in the municipality of Palencia, Guatemala.
