To celebrate the beginning of the year 2023, members of New Acropolis Panama organized a guided expedition to the summit of the Baru Volcano in the Panamanian province of Chiriqui. The ascent consisted of a 15 km hike to the summit of the volcano at 3,474 m (11,880 ft). Once at the top, we were able to appreciate the sunset after an evening outdoors and contemplate the sunrise from the highest point of the Panamanian geography. From the top we could observe the two oceans, the Atlantic and the Pacific.
