Long Night of Philosophy 2023 (Klagenfurt, Austria)
The highly topical topic of “AI & Humanity” interested more people than the House of Philosophy could hold!
For the panel discussion on the handling, opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, our young team of philosophers asked the AI in advance what Socrates, the Dalai Lama, Frida Kahlo and J. W. Goethe would say about it. They gave the AI’s script even more life, clarity and originality, and with their presentations they also stimulated a very lively exchange with the often young audience.
In the 2nd part, we dedicated ourselves to the potentials that are profoundly human and can not be replaced by AI: a group explored the art of questioning with “Socratic dialogue” in search of self-knowledge. The workshop of “Brain to Heart Thinking” combined astonishing scientific knowledge about heart coherence with traditional wisdom teachings about the heart as the very center of human existence.
