New Acropolis volunteers began the Earth Day celebration with an eco-action in an urban forest in Belgrade. After cleaning up litter, the participants performed a dance dedicated to Mother Earth.

The program continued in the Association’s space with a lecture „Man is nature“highlighting the necessity to overcome the standpoint whereby man sees himself asseparate from nature. This is imperative for a conscious approach to life in all of its forms.

Lastly, on the Association’s land in the countryside, the volunteers spent a weekend aiming to live from what nature itself generously provides. That also presented an opportunity to organize workshops on old, almost forgotten crafts such as pottery and weaving wicker baskets and to make something simultaneously practical and beautiful.
