Open Doors for a Cultural Celebration of Talents (Florencia Sur, Honduras)
In an event full of exciting talent, New Acropolis Florencia Sur held an Open Doors afternoon at its centre, where artists could present their talents and skills. At the same time attendees had the opportunity to learn about New Acropolis’ programme of activities and courses.
There was a live guitar performance, a karate demonstration class – in which students of all ages participated – and drawing and painting courses for children and adults that are regularly held on Fridays and Saturdays. “We are thrilled to be able to open our doors to the community and show them the talent and passion our students have for art and culture,” said Melissa Sierra, a teacher at the Fine Arts School.
This was followed by both solo and group portrait photo sessions, with families coming up to capture an unforgettable moment during that afternoon in July. Finally, to close the day, those who wanted to were invited to sing, dance and participate in an open karaoke, full of laughter and an atmosphere of fun.
