Window on History I: The Middle Ages (Guatemala, Guatemala)
In this talk we saw how the European Middle Ages developed and what were its defining characteristics and moments. The talk highlighted the fact that not everything was bad in that period. There were advances and processes that would later lead to the Renaissance and eventually to the present day. At the end we learned about where some surnames come from, their coats of arms and how they are formed.
‘Window on History’ is a series of talks we will be giving on a regular basis, where we will be looking at topics from a historical perspective. The next talk will be: “Egypt and its symbols”.
