World Philosophy Day (Bucharest, Romania)
This year, New Acropolis Bucharest celebrated the World Philosophy Day through a cycle of public lectures dedicated to the persons who started to follow the path of wisdom.
The first lecture, presented by the N.D. Prof. Ivo Ivanovici raised the question: What is philosophy and what is its value for our days? The second lecture brought closer the platonic dialogues and offered us some essential learnings from the master of classical philosophy, Platon.
The next lecture was an opportunity to know how to free ourselves from suffering, following the teachings of Buddha. The last lecture was dedicated to the noble man and his qualities, as they were described by another great master of wisdom, Confucius, in his Analects.
Every presentation was followed by questions and discussions about the ideas presented. The participants also made some reflections about the virtues they get from the „wheel of virtues”.
