Talk: Beethoven, strength and heroism
The art manifested in the work of the great Ludwig van Beethoven allows self-knowledge when we see it as a mirror of the soul, and serves as an inspiration that allows the expression of delicate feelings kept in the human heart.
Maestro Beethoven, beyond being a musical prodigy, faced many adversities in his life. With art, beauty and heroism, he showed the world that, despite being limited by his deafness, he found no limits in creating the works that would change the history of music.
Before and after Beethoven: that sums up his musical contribution. One of his works, the third symphony (The Heroic), defines the dividing line between the perfection of Mozart and the grandeur of the heroic fury. Two geniuses who represent different moments in the history of music, classicism and romanticism.
The complex situations that all human beings must experience, such as mourning for loved ones or economic, family and sentimental instability, have been the building blocks of Beethoven’s myth. Deeply marked by the absence of his mother from adolescence, he ended his life without marrying and without descendants. His legacy is music and the example of perseverance of a true hero.
