How to Live, Series of Talks (Cork, Ireland)

Cultural Activities

For the third year in a row, New Acropolis in Cork has used the summer months to host its successful ‘How to Live’ series of talks. Marrying a range of subjects with the Acropolitan practical approach, the public was invited to explore the depths to which philosophy can touch upon daily life. This year we embarked on three subjects:

How to Live a More Conscious Life according to Greek tradition

How to Live a More Balanced Life according to Hermetic tradition

How to Live a More Serene Life according to Stoic tradition

Each event averaged 25-27 people in attendance and included a break in the middle for refreshments and energetic discussion about the various topics. Connecting the three talks as a series built momentum over the summer with many people attending more than one or even all three, developing good relations and visibility in the third circle.
