“TEENS” Public Speaking Workshop: Storytelling in the Park (Dominican Republic)
In an age where human connections are becoming more and more rare, a group of young volunteers from the Teens Public Speaking Workshop ended their course with storytelling in the Parque Iberoamérica in the city of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
The activity, entitled “Storytelling in the Park” was attended by a group of volunteers, who remembered the importance of shared time through storytelling in their own lives, and so were able to give to others a little of the wisdom that can be found in the stories of a lifetime.
This activity was the closing event of the workshop, where these young people were able to put into practice what they had learned in their classes.
This initiative of Círculo Juvenil Janos seeks to develop values in participants and inspire through storytelling, fostering a love of literature and the importance of shared time with others. The simple act of listening and storytelling is a powerful way of connecting and learning.
