Visit to the archaeological site Qayaqpuma (Cajamarca, Peru)
Members and friends of New Acropolis Cajamarca visited the archaeological site of Qayaqpuma, possibly the oldest remains of the city. Qayappuma means ‘The puma that summons’ and for a long time it has been the cave paintings that characterised this archaeological site. Recent findings have identified up to 15 centres that house evidence, of which the following have been studied so far: the circular plaza, the caves with cave paintings, the northern monumental zone, among others.
Once again, we have had the opportunity to spread a message of appreciation for our cultural heritage and the importance of loving and caring for it.
