45th Book Fair Almeria 2025 (Almeria, Spain)
The 45th Almeria Book Fair 2025 took place between 1 and 6 April. New Acropolis in Almeria participated for the third time. Our volunteers were at the stand morning and afternoon.

On Saturday the 5th, two authors presented a new book and were kind enough to sign copies of their works. Carmelo López Carrique presented his historical study entitled ‘La judería de Almería’, a look back at the Jews of Almería. And we also had Fátima Gordillo Santiago and her work ‘Our goddesses’, from the Palaeolithic Venuses to the Black Virgins. The public showed great interest in these two works.

Volunteers handed out programmes and leaflets about our activities in the city. For more information or to purchase books, they were invited to go to the New Acropolis headquarters at Avenida de Pablo Iglesias 134. They will also be able to purchase books from the New Acropolis International Organisation’s publishing house that they were not able to get at this 45th Almería Book Fair. You can follow the New Acropolis channels on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube.
New Acropolis has been working extensively in Almeria since 1979. They are collected in different cycles, such as Take the risk for a better world, activities for the World Philosophy Day, provincial cycle Lavapalabras, etc.
The 45th Almería Book Fair 2025 also served to raise awareness of the philosophy. The newspaper La Voz de Almería published a photographic report of the booths participating in the Book Fair, ‘A walk through the Almería Book Fair, booth by booth (photo 22/27), by Andrea Cerrillo, April 2nd’.
