Bioenergetics and nutrition: The impact of food on vitality
Academic nutrition maintains the concept that food is only made up of various material molecules and nutrients. The impact of these foods on more subtle elements of the human body, such as the energetic dimension, is neglected.
For modern nutrition, a fresh apple is the same as a canned or packaged apple; the nutrients are still there. But for the bioenergetic view, which considers not only the nutrients, but also the energy value of the food, these two apples are entirely different things.
In this course we will review the basics of optimal nutrition and learn how to quickly recognise the valuable foods from the less valuable ones. We will also learn how to get the most out of food to keep us healthy and vital.
What will you learn in this course?
1. You will learn the importance of good fats in your diet and how to differentiate them from bad fats.
2. The importance of knowing the glycaemic index value of carbohydrates.
3. How to reduce and keep inflammation levels low through diet.
4. How to recognise the healthy foods you can find in the supermarket.
5. The impact of different food groups on metabolism.
