Can we be happy in a world of crisis ?

Economic turmoil, social tensions, environmental challenges… In a world constantly shifting, the question of happiness feels more relevant than ever. This was the central theme of the philosophical dialogue “Can We Be Happy in a World in Crisis?”, which brought together a diverse and thoughtful audience in september.

Far from abstract theory, the event unfolded in a warm and engaging atmosphere. Participants exchanged their personal views on happiness, exploring the connections between individual well-being and collective balance. Some saw happiness as an inner journey toward serenity, while others emphasized the role of social engagement and solidarity as essential sources of fulfillment.

Everyone played along with the spirit of the dialogue — open-minded, respectful, and curious. Despite differing perspectives, a shared conclusion gradually emerged: being happy in a world in crisis may not be an illusion, but rather a challenge to be faced together.

Between reflection, attentive listening, and moments of laughter, the evening showed that beyond uncertainty, philosophy remains a wonderful space to think, to hope — and perhaps, already, to cultivate a sense of collective happiness.
