On Earth Day, members of the New Acropolis Podgorica branch, in cooperation with the NGO Paradigma, organized an ecological volunteer action as part of the Urban Garden Podgorica project.

The Urban Garden Podgorica was initiated by the NGO Paradigma with the support of the city of Podgorica.

During this ecological action, about 40 New Acropolis members and about 20 NGO Paradigma volunteers repaired the irrigation system, weeded the garden, spread the compost over the central part of the garden, prepared the soil for planting, planted tomato seedlings, green beans, as well as pruned and cleaned fruit trees and planted cypresses.

Part of the income obtained from the Urban Garden’s fruits and vegetables sales is to be delivered to socially deprived families and the Soup Kitchen.
