For the International Earth Day New Acropolis Slovakia prepared several activities. One of these activities was a lecture with a discussion about what and how we can constantly learn from the Nature of our one and only planet or Mother Earth. They also prepared creative workshops, where woven and crocheted rugs were created from recycled textile threads, intended for animals in shelters. The novelty was a  dog toys made of long cotton sleeves. And the last activity was an evening, where they were reminded that the Earth is our home, and we should treat it as such, protect it and take care of its health, as our wise fathers did. Being ecological means not forgetting this in everyday decisions and actions. An ecological addition to the evening was the “Carousel of Household Items” – a mutual exchange of small kitchen utensils, mugs, decorations, pictures, etc. Many things have found their second home and will do their new owners good service and joy.
