New Acropolis in Salzburg (Austria)

Promotion of Philosophy

Reopening after relocation

Around 100 guests joined representatives from politics, culture and education gathered to celebrate the launch of this new venue for philosophical thinking, creative activity and human interaction.

Among the guests of honour were Deputy Mayor Mag. Kay-Michael Dankl, Dr Hannes Weinelt, Director of New Acropolis Austria, and Mag. Gabi Burgstaller, former Governor of Salzburg.

In his speech, Mr Dankl emphasised how important such places are today – platforms where people can engage in conversation, reflect, listen and shape the future together.

A real highlight of the evening was the philosophical speed dating: short, lively conversations, surprising questions, lots of laughter – and genuine encounters. This showed how lively and accessible philosophy can be when you simply give it a try.

Singer and pianist Fernando Araujo gave us goosebumps, enriching the evening in a special way with his music and inviting us to reflect, dream and resonate.

The new school is all about a ‘philosophy for everyone’ – inspired by the spirit of Salzburg, open to all who seek more depth, meaning and connection in their lives.

Our vision: not just thinking about philosophy, but living it.

Philosophising together, becoming creative and taking action – to make our world more conscious, more humane and more liveable, step by step.

Because philosophy begins precisely when we ask ourselves:

👉 How do I want to live?
