In the city of Ladispoli, on the occasion of Carnival, New Acropolis carried out the children’s activity ‘Reading aloud’ for children from 0 to 6 years old.

Together with them we played with the colours of emotions, associating yellow with joy, blue with sadness, red with anger, black with fear and green with calm.

Following readings such as ‘The colour monster’ by Anna Llenas and the texts of Harve Tullet, great classics of children’s literature, our little readers coloured together the monster of emotions and filled their own jar with coloured seeds, as a way of expressing what they felt that day.

At the end each child received their own ‘Little Reader Card’ to fill in at the next meetings!!!

It is increasingly necessary to encourage children to read, to recognise their own emotional world and thus better cope with their moods in different circumstances.
