Renovation of the library facade (Russia-North)
We did not choose this village by chance. It is known for its unique local traditions. There was a dynasty of Abramov craftsmen who painted icons for the surrounding churches and created objects of peasant life in their recognizable style. An exhibition dedicated to these talented craftsmen is currently running in the library.
The library is also the real heart of a modern village, where interesting activities for children take place and where adults gather to improve the future.
We consider it very important to preserve the traditions of Russia’s unique places. This gives every person, no matter where they live, a reason to be proud of your country and to have exalted feelings.
That is why we responded to the proposal to renovate the exterior facade of the old building – the library itself simply does not have the resources for this.
Five days, ten Acropolitans have been cleaning the walls and window frames from several layers of old paint, sanded them, covered them with a primer and even managed to paint part of the facade. Two weeks after that, the villagers completed their work.
