The conference ‘Inner Awakening’, held at New Acropolis, confronted attendees with some of the most powerful obstacles to inner growth and well-being: distraction and lack of discipline. The ‘path of inner awakening’ – represented by a traditional Tibetan Buddhist drawing – served as the focus for this meeting.

It outlines the essential steps and pitfalls for those interested in escaping from the grip of these obstacles and seeking awareness. As beautifully drawn, ‘taming’ the monkey that constantly distracts the elephant (our consciousness) from our inner centre is key and essential in this world full of external attractions.
