Topography exercise and archaeological walk (Ladispoli, Italy)
A day of training for students from the Civil Protection course in Ladispoli.
The morning began with firefighting drills, during which participants were able to learn basic intervention techniques: from the correct use of equipment to safety procedures to be followed in the event of a fire.
The students then immersed themselves in topography. Armed with compasses and maps, they practiced their orienteering skills in the field.
At the same time, a group of second-level volunteers inspected the area’s water fountains, a crucial activity for monitoring safe supply points in the event of an emergency.
The day concluded with a visit to the archaeological site of Cerveteri. Walking among the ancient tombs of the Banditaccia Necropolis, the young volunteers discovered the millennia-old history that characterizes our area, understanding how protecting cultural heritage is an integral part of Civil Protection.
