Tribute to Jorge Angel Livraga Rizzi (Brussels, Belgium)
On 8 October, New Acropolis Belgium organised an evening of commemorative readings in honour of its founder, Jorge Ángel Livraga Rizzi. The event, presented by Fernand Figares, director of New Acropolis Belgium, and Sylvain Cigna, director of the Brussels centre, was held on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the death of the Argentinean philosopher, which occurred on 7 October 1991.
The evening was devoted to the reading of a selection of texts by Jorge Livraga, followed by a time of discussion and reflection with the public. This annual tradition allows New Acropolis members to return to the roots of their philosophical movement and to appreciate the relevance of Jorge Livraga’s message, which continues to inspire thousands of people around the world.
Today, New Acropolis is present in some fifty countries, with more than 500 centres, testifying to the vitality and universal reach of its founder’s teachings.
