Central America gathers in Cartago to celebrate the 1st Regional School Sports Olympics (Cartago, Costa Rica)
The Cartago sports centre hosted an international sporting event that brought together delegations from New Acropolis in Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. For three days, participants from across the region competed in disciplines such as athletics, archery, chess, football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, table tennis and other sports.
The event, accompanied by the New Acropolis International Sports Senate, sought to strengthen fraternal ties and promote education through sport. The competitions took place in an atmosphere of collaboration and conviviality, highlighting values such as discipline, camaraderie and the spirit of victory.
Each philosopher-athlete who participated was able to feel and experience the spirit of Olympia, full of fraternity and highlighting sport as a tool for training and uniting New Acropolis members from different countries.
